Sinking

Sinking to the depths
Unto the very sea
Watching the world fade away
Fade away from me

Darker and darker it goes
The deeper that I get
The air that is escaping
Is getting soaking wet

The lights from above
They slowly fade away
As I move into the night
And away from day

Ever get that sinking feeling?
When there's nothing you can do
But sit around and watch the world
Eat away at you

Well swim toward the surface
And get that precious air
Because deep down in that abyss
They aren't willing to share

Sticking together
In theory it should work
But just in case it doesn't
Beware of what there lurks

I'm not going down there
Just to pull you up
You're on your own my friend
Just say when you've had enough
