Winter Driving

The water is frozen
The air is so cold
It's as dry as can be
As times are untold

I rev up the engine
Or at least, I can try
It's been overtaken by ice
I think I might cry

My windshield wipers won't move
The driver side door frozen shut
And still it is snowing
This weather's being a butt

Finally it starts
I can be on my way
Until I find the tires slide
On the frozen driveway

So I get the snow chains
Onto the tires
To just get out of here
Is my moment's desire

The roads are all icy
And they're covered with snow
Who's taking care of this?
When will the plow show?

Maybe I should stay home
I don't need to be out today
So as I drive back
I'm thinking, "hooray!"

No more dangerous roads
No more windows to de-ice
I'll go in and have some hot chocolate
Now won't that be nice?
